Virtuous Pie, the plant-based pizzeria (originally from Vancouver, BC) that opened its doors in Portland, Oregon on June 10th, announces the launch of brunch on Saturday, August 5th. Brunch will be from 9 am – 2:30 pm every Saturday and Sunday and feature a mix of savory and sweet pies, bowls, and sides that are all made in-house.

Highlights from the menu include the Eat Your Taters, a breakfast pizza with San Marzano pizza sauce, black beans, tater tots, tofu scramble, maple breakfast sausage, chipotle aioli, and scallion; AKA “Benny Eggs,” a breakfast pizza with herbed potato cream, tofu scramble, arugula, oven dried tomatoes, asparagus, cashew cream hollandaise, and chive; Dos Amigos, breakfast tacos with corn tortilla, chipotle crumble, tofu scramble, sliced avocado, queso fresco, pickled red onion cilantro, served with a side of Cajun tater tots and Valentina hot sauce; The Sunny Side, a breakfast sandwich with chorizo patty, scrambled tofu, jack cheese, cashew hollandaise, chipotle aioli, and oven dried tomatoes on a house-made brioche bun, served with a side of Cajun tater tots; The Basic B. Breakfast Bowl, a breakfast bowl with banana, avocado, spinach, coconut water, flax hemp, granola, cacao nibs, coconut shreds, and fresh fruit; and N.W.A., a breakfast calzone with chocolate hazelnut + cinnamon banana filling, fresh fruit, shaved chocolate, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup.

Local Portland Heart Coffee will be served, along with cocktails such as the Mim-bucha, sparkling wine, and lemon ginger kombucha, and The Virtuous Caesar (Virtuous Pie’s take on a Bloody Mary), house-made caesar mix, vodka, horseradish, salted rim, and pickled garnish.
