The World’s First Vegan Cooking Show Launches April 1

Trying Vegan with Mario

Trying Vegan with Mario” launches April 1st on Roku, the #1 streaming media device in the world – larger than Apple TV and Amazon’s Fire TV – featuring famous musicians, New York Times best-selling authors, and professional athletes.

Mario Fabbri is the host and every episode he brings special guests into his kitchen to try vegan food. So what makes Mario’s story so unique? Well first of all he has a vegan cooking show and he isn’t even a vegan! Having been raised by a father who runs an Italian sausage factory, Mario finds himself on an unexpected journey into vegan cuisine. It all started when one of his best friends lost nearly 100 lbs and saved his health by converting to a 90% plant-based nutrient dense diet.

On his show, Mario is the curious home-chef who asks the questions that any non-vegan would want to ask, like “Where do vegans get their protein?”, “Isn’t eating vegan more expensive?”, “Is it even possible to prepare hearty, flavorful, simple meals with just plants?” Mario Fabbri is a charismatic and unpredictable cook in the kitchen. With the help of his guests, he is on a mission to teach you how to make vegan food that tastes delicious to vegans and non-vegans alike.

This a monumental step towards the future of food. Forbes listed “Plant Based Foods” as the #1 dining trend to watch in 2018. According to a report by research firm GlobalData, there has been a 600% increase in consumers claiming to be vegan over the past 3 years. 1% in 2014 and now 6% in 2017. Mario’s show will be the next pillar in the future of bringing vegan food to the mainstream. Episode 1 features musical guest, Krewella (pictured), who talks about eating healthy for high energy when they are selling out concerts over 10K people. Mario attempts to surprise Krewella with a vegan version of their favorite non-vegan Indian dessert; Kulfi.”
