Wanderlust 108: The World’s First ‘Mindful Triathlon’ Comes to Los Angeles

Wanderlust 108

Wanderlust, producers of the largest yoga lifestyle events in the world, brings the Wanderlust 108, the world’s first and only “mindful triathlon,” to Los Angeles on May 2, 2015. Coming to large public parks in top markets in the United States, Canada and Mexico, Wanderlust’s reimagined triathlon consists of a five-kilometer run, a large-scale 90-minute yoga class and a guided meditation led by top teachers. Mindful triathletes will also enjoy musical performances from live bands and DJs, acroyoga, slacklining, hooping and other surprises throughout the day. It’s a fun-filled day in the park that will both challenge you and bring out your best.

Participants will be able to choose whether they would like to start their day with the 5K run through Santa Monica Pier or a high energy yoga class from Tiffany Cruikshank and MC Yogi (with a Beastie Boys soundtrack) and will switch to the other event once the first is completed. This will be followed by a relaxing meditation led by local LA teacher, Noah Levine. The exuberant Bad Cactus Brass Band and the sweet beats of DJ Drez will bring the event home from the Main Stage.

Throughout the day, the Kula Marketplace will offer the finest from local craft vendors, including unique apparel, jewelry, and handcrafted items. Local food purveyors will provide an eclectic mix of healthy organic food options, including vegan and vegetarian fare.
