Vegan Resort Offers Before the Baby & Solo Adventure Packages

Stanford Inn by the Sea

For expecting parents, the next stage of parenting can be both beautiful and overwhelming. For some people looking for a true escape from their surroundings, job or just for a new perspective on their own lives, or humankind generally, the options may be daunting. To serve both groups, Stanford Inn in Mendocino has designed two new packages sure to please both parents to be, and people looking for some time with themselves to adventure, explore and rejuvenate. Stanford Inn is a four-star sustainably based resort located on the rugged Mendocino Coast, just a few hours north of San Francisco. Mendocino, generally, and the Stanford Inn, particularly, have been the destinations for generations of travelers looking for unique yet healing experiences.

“As innkeepers, speakers, authors and personal coaches, we listen very closely to what guests say,” said Jeff Stanford. “Many guests who stay with us to do what was formerly called a “babymoon” or others were doing their own version of “disconnecting” all by themselves. To make it easier and more complete, we built comprehensive packages with more take-aways. It’s one thing to get away, but it’s even better when you continue the good feelings after you depart!”

Stanford Inn Before the Baby Enhancement Package

3-night minimum, subject to availability

There may be no better time for a getaway than before your baby arrives! This one-of-a-kind experience package is perfect for expecting parents. It includes massage, delicious and healthy cuisine, relaxing canoe ride, creative inspiration, as well as plenty of rest.

For the expectant Mom and her partner, “Before the Baby” includes:

  • Forest Pre Natal Massage for Mom
  • Forest Massage for your partner
  • Dinner for both each night of your stay
  • For your family, Raising Healthy Parents: Small Steps, Less Stress, and a Thriving Family by Philosopher and Nutritionist Sid Garza Hillman
  • For you, The Art of Play: Ignite Your Imagination to Unlock Insight, Healing, and Joy written by Joan Stanford, MA, ATR-BC, creative play specialist, focusing on making art as fun and insightful.
  • Imagination Playshop with Joan Stanford. An inspirational insight – drawing and doodling are great for the mind – for memory – for mood. Most of us don’t draw or doodle because we judge the work – Joan’s class turns this around and makes creativity about the joy. The playshop includes a complimentary sketch book for collage, sketching, note taking…. just for the fun of it!
  • Together, a trip on the gentle Big River Estuary in a redwood outrigger canoe (if weather allows).
