The End Of Meat Goes Global

The End Of Meat

From German filmmaker Marc Pierschel, groundbreaking documentary The End Of Meat is now available to own and stream worldwide! The much-anticipated movie has at long last launched across continents via DVD, Blu-ray and digital download, as well as iTunes, Amazon, Vimeo and other streaming and VOD platforms. Find out where to watch depending where you are!

The End Of Meat poses the question, “What would happen if meat disappeared?” Offering an optimistic vision — via interviews with activists and attorneys, scholars and scientists, entrepreneurs and industry disruptors — this uplifting film dares to declare, “The future of meat is history!”

Addressing what sets his project apart from the pack, Pierschel explains, “Instead of focusing on the negative consequences of consuming meat, I wanted to show the hugely beneficial possibilities of a post-meat world and what that might look like for humans, animals and the planet.”

Pierschel is certainly not alone in wishing to picture a world without animal products. This is no doubt in part why people were so swift to support exclusive premiere events in Berlin, New York, L.A. and Toronto; why the film saw successful theatrical releases in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; and why the film was invited to participate in festivals around the world — including the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (U.S.), the Raindance Film Festival (U.K.) and the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (Greece).

While everyday individuals readily discern the merits of this doc, so too do famous folks; the Los Angeles installment at Laemmle Music Hall in Beverly Hills drew solid celeb attendance — think Moby, Tony Kanal, John Salley, Toby Morse, Pilar Holland, Ben Whitehair and more — and wrapped with a post-screening Q&A with Pierschel led by actress Victoria Summer.

Enabling a broader audience to watch, the doc can be viewed with subtitles in German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Estonian, Chinese and Russian, with more translations to come.

Additionally, anyone can screen The End Of Meat in their own local community. For licensing and application info, including how to qualify for a VegFund grant, please click here.
