Rip Esselstyn, plant-based pioneer, host of the Plant-Strong podcast and founder of the Engine 2 diet, set a new National and World Record in the Men’s 55 – 59 age group 200-meter back stroke with a time of 2:21.72. The prior record was made in 2015.
Rip competed in the 2019 Summer Sizzler LC Masters Meet in Houston on June 30. This is another victory for plant-based athletes advocating for the benefits of a vegan diet. In Rip’s words, “Plant-strong eating propelled me to achieve this world record.”
